Tennis Player on Clay Court

Let's get to work!

During the Covid lock down of 2020, I lost access to the sport I've played since age 6. The clubs were closed, the school courts were locked, and  the public courts were closed, too. With everyone afraid to leave their houses, I spent a lot of time at home. I wasn't sure how long we'd be stuck at home so I created my own workout plan so that I could stay fit and ready to play whenever the time came. My home workouts were really effective and they helped me with the mental strain I felt from isolation and being detached from my family and friends.

One of my favorite tennis players is the late great Arthur Ashe. He once said, “Start where you are. Use what you have. Do what you can.” I used that as inspiration for the workout videos below. All you need is a tennis racket and commitment. I hope these help you like they helped me -- especially if we have more pandemic lock downs in the future.

"Success is a journey, not a destination. The doing is often more important than the outcome."
